The largest science center is called Universeum and is located in Gothenburg. In the seven-storey high building you will find everything from rainforest trails and challenging ideas to the solar system and genius bursts. On the same day you can experience dust storms in the mountains, tropical heat of the jungle and vast distances in space. And while you´re here, why not challenge your senses and test the amazing potential of the human brain? Solve criminal cases or watch them feed their sand tiger shark, Herman, and his friends in the Ocean Tank.

It is also a 7000 sq meters large banquet room!

The Ocean zone

In the Ocean zone you marvel over the sharks, rays, coral and shoals of mackerel in large aquariums. The light and life behind the glass windows provide a unique and wonderful atmosphere. In the Ocean zone we have room for up to 204 seated guests or 350 guests to mingle.
For dessert, a guide can come in and talk about our sharks and fishes living in the aquariums.

The foyer

The foyer is the place for big events, with room for 330 seated guests. Here you get our South American rainforest as backdrop. The foyer holds up to 600 mingling guests. The foyer is also the place for dancing and entertainment. Here is plenty of room for a stage, music or shows.

Universalen – assembly hall

Universalen is the place for lectures, film screenings, debates, science shows and more. The assembly hall is located on level 0 and is accessed via stairs or elevator. It can accommodate 115 guests and the room is fully equipped with projector, speakers, microphones and the like
